Judit Polgár is considered the strongest female chess player of all time. She is Hungarian but also keeps an Israeli citizenship.
We are in 2002 when she is 26 years old, playing in White against Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, who is now Azerbaijan’s top grandmaster. In 2002 he was only 17. The tournament was held in Bled, a beautiful city in Slovenia.
We are at the opening stage, after 10 moves, all of them played many times and are well documented, including the following mainline sacrifice, called Karpov’s Gambit. The mainline usually continues with Black Queen accepting the gambit and taking White Knight, then White queen moves to f3 and eventually wins c6 Knight back with some positional advantage after Black castles Queen-side...
